Use team chat

Use Chat for quick team conversations that should not become meetings or formal documents.

Open Chat

Click Chat in the top navigation.

Chat app

Find a room

  1. Use the room list or search.
  2. Open the team or project room.
  3. Read recent messages before replying.

Use project rooms for project discussion. Use direct messages for short private questions.

Send a useful message

Good chat messages include context:

  • What changed.
  • What decision is needed.
  • Who needs to respond.
  • When the answer is needed.

Avoid sending a bare "hi" when you already know the question. Ask the question in the first message.

Paste links to files, calendar events, project cards, or tables when discussion depends on shared work. That keeps the conversation connected to the source.
