Work with files
Use Files to upload, organize, preview, share, and download documents.
Open Files
From the portal, click Office → Files.

The Files app opens with your folders and documents.

Upload a file
- Open the destination folder.
- Click New.
- Choose Upload files.
- Select the file from your computer.
- Wait for the upload to finish before closing the browser tab.

Create a folder
- Click New.
- Choose New folder.
- Enter a folder name.
- Press Enter.
Use folders for projects, teams, or recurring work. Keep names short and specific so they are easy to scan later.
Open or preview a file
Click a file name once to open it. Office documents open in the browser editor. Other files open in a preview when the browser can display them.
Share a file
- Find the file in the list.
- Click the share icon on the same row.
- Search for a person or group.
- Choose the access level.
- Close the sharing panel when the right people are listed.
Use named people or groups for internal work. Use public links only when the file is meant to leave the organization.
Download a file
Use the row menu for the file and choose Download. The browser saves the file to your normal downloads folder.
